PHOTOGRAPHY:
Many of my photographs are taken using a light box or natural light if the weather is kind to me. However, with variations in monitor settings, and small variations within dye lots found in hand-dyed yarns, the colours may differ slightly between the photograph and the actual item. I try my best to ensure that the colours are as accurate as possible.
DYE LOTS:
The dye lots are small, usually no more than 6 cakes per colourway, and suit small knitting or crocheting projects such as socks, hats, mittens and fingerless gloves, scarves, small shawls, bags and sweaters. Hand-dyed cakes will have variations so for larger projects try alternating cakes every few rows. Please bear in mind that these cakes of wool are dyed in such a way that your finished product will be unique.
PAYMENT:
Please email your order to me, via the Contact Me page, quoting the code numbers of the items you would like to purchase together with the quantities and your street delivery details, email address and phone number and I will send you an invoice together with the banking details to pay via EFT. At Shows you may pay either cash, use the Zapper App or your credit card using an iKhokha Mover Pro with insert or tap function. If you pay via EFT, when your EFT payment confirmation has been received, your parcel will be packed and collected by the couriers within 2 days (unless over a weekend when it will be collected on the Monday). The Zapper App can be downloaded from the App Store, the Google Play Store or here. The advantage of Zapper is that your credit card transaction is entirely in your hands and takes a few seconds. Local customers may order online and pay cash on collection if they prefer.
SHIPPING:
South Africa. I send small parcels via Fastway Couriers, PnP (Aramex), Postnet or Pep Paxi. Pep Paxi offers a service to outlying small towns and country areas that are often not available to other couriers or are less expensive. They all offer a tracking service so you may track the progress of your parcel. Once I have delivered your parcel to whichever courier is being used, I will email you the tracking number. Larger orders will be packed in boxes which will be sent via Postnet (or customers may choose an alternative courier) and the costs will be calculated and added to invoices prior to payment.
International. Please note that, at present, I do not usually ship overseas but I am happy to obtain courier information on request.
CARING FOR YOUR YARN:
Your wool is sent to you in a clear ziplock bag that you could continue using to prevent possible moth attacks. Hand washing your finished item is recommended (I do rinse all wool before drying but there may be a small residue of dye left) as well as laying it flat out of direct sunlight.
RETURNS
There is a non-return policy regarding wool, tools and accessories.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
